Cold and Stomch Virus

What a week I had last week! It was a little unnerving having a stomach virus and being pregnant. I was concerned for the baby. The cramps were terrible and it's never fun to have nausea/vomiting/diarrhea! Trevor took good care of me...went to the store and got me juices, ginger ale, popsicles, jello, soups, etc. I was able to return to work Sat. and Sun. So, today I am resting after my always busy/tiring work days! It's a rewaring career and great to help people as a nurse, but very draining physically, mentally and emotionally at times, too! So glad to being working part-time esp. now that I'm pregnant.

Wedding, Family & Friends

Noelle, Pamela, Paulette holding Aubry, Martha, Maria, Casey holding Arizona
I don't know why this added so small...sorry I don't have a closer one of Nathan & Jill together.

We enjoyed a vist with Cindy, Dan, Cindy's cousin Sue and of course puppy Luci after the wedding on Sat, Sept. 20th. Cindy is so happy to be home after being away almost 2 mo! It was Dan & Ciny's 28th anniversary, too! Happy Anniversary!

It was cute seeing Nathan help Jill up into his truck for their ride away! What a high ride, too!
Wearing my 1st maternity dress.
Noelle caught the throw bouquet from Jill
We both have maternity dresses on that our mom gave us. It was great seeing a lot of family at the wedding! Hope to see everyone again soon!

OB Visit 3

Trevor and I went to an OB appt. yesterday and all seems good with our baby. It's great to hear the baby's heart beat with the doppler! We are between 16 and 17 weeks now. I am just been really tired lately...I can sleep in, take a nap and still sleep all night. My left ear has been draining on and off ever since I got pregnant, so that has been frustrating to deal with....so I'm now seeing my ear dr on a monthly basis, too.

Trevor has started working on the nursery. We picked out a green color, willowbrook, for the top half of the walls and the bottom is going to have white wainscot. We plan to have white crown molding and molding around the window. For the floors, a vintage chestnut, dark wood wide plank floors, and we are also planning to have dark wood furniture. I have a nice dresser that my parents used with me and my sisters that will be in the nursery. We like a bedding called CoCaLo Alphabet Soup from Target. I think it will be fun to teach the baby colors, letters, and numbers in their room.

We continue to pray for a smooth pregnancy, delivery and healthy baby! My sister, Martha, found out she is having a baby boy, so we are praying all goes well with their baby also! It will be the 1st grandbaby and grandson for my parents, so it should be fun and new for them since they had all daughters.

My father-in-law continues therapy for his lt hand/arm. John, Wendy, Riley and baby Lyla seem to be doing well. Lyla is so cute and fun to hold! I look forward to our baby having cousins near by to play with. My friend, Cindy, is supposed to go home tomorrow....she has been away from her home almost 2 mo after having surgery and then rehab and radiation tx's. She continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Palm Tree Down

Pop and Nana with the grandkids! We enjoyed Pop's b-day this weekend!

Trevor getting our dead palm tree down!

Our Home

It's Sunday evening now and Trevor just finished taking down the dead palm tree that was on the left side of our house. Several palms have died in our neighborhood...we have one left as you can see in the photo of our home.
This was a nice weekend off work. Friday AM Trevor met with our chiropractor, Dr. Scott, for a radio taping. Saturday AM at 7:30 it was on the radio and we woke up to listen. Then we volunteered at our Community Kitchen here in MB and Trevor's parents went with us. After lunch we went to our YMCA and tried out a new exercise class, Zumba...the guys ended up leaving...more of a girl class! So, maybe Jeanne and I will go again.
It was Dennis' b-day Saturday. We enjoyed dinner with the family here in MB last night as we celebrated Pop's b-day. Trevor and I made a "no water cake" for Dennis...we realized after it was baked that it didn't look just right...well the water had been left out! We ate it anyway...icing and ice cream can make anything good, right!? =)
We enjoyed worship at FUMC this AM. The afternoon was restful and then we worked on some housework and Trevor the palm tree. School starts for kids here in Horry Co. tomorrow. Our friends, Scott & Amy, from church have a daughter starting kindergarten. Amy said she is amazed at how fast the first 5 yrs have gone with her daughter! My friend, Cindy, continues rehab in Charlotte and seems to be doing well with that. We are continuing to pray for her and her family. Wendy is scheduled to have baby Lyla this Friday! We pray all goes well for Wendy and Lyla this week.

2nd OB Visit

This morning Trevor and I had the 2nd OB visit. All my lab work came back "normal" from the last visit. We enjoyed hearing our baby's heartbeat again today!! I am sure as the baby continues to grow...making my tummy grow...it will seem more real each day! We pray that our baby continues to develop well and that we stay healthy. We continue to go for our Chiropractic adjustments each week. My next appt. will be in 4 weeks. My sister is also doing well and she may find out if they are having a boy or girl on her next OB visit!

My sister-in-law, Wendy, is hoping her 2nd daughter, Lyla, comes soon! We are praying for her as she has had some vision trouble recently. I know the doctors are watching her closely to make sure mom and baby are OK.

Dennis seems to be recovering well from his recent back surgery. We have enjoyed watching the Olympics with them some. My friend, Cindy, is at a rehab facility in Charlotte since her back surgery. Prayers continue for both Dennis and Cindy.

Also in baby news, my cousin Monica's baby shower- for her twin boys-is this Sat. in Clinton, N.C. I am sad to have to miss the shower but will be in touch with her. Her twins are due around the beginning of November...exciting times!

My sister, Noelle, is starting her JUNIOR year at ECU tomorrow...we hope you have a great year, Noelle!!! So proud of you!

Thursday night for my birthday

Trevor took me out to dinner for my birthday Thursday night. =) We had leftovers to eat Friday before we left for Charleston. Leftovers are great!
Trevor and I enjoyed visiting Charleston Aug. 8-10. We enjoyed some good food there as well. I pointed out some of the sights I had seen on my past visits to Trevor. My cousin, Nena, used to live near Charleston, so I had visited her in the past with my Uncle Devon, Aunt Linda Faye and several other family members. My uncle Devon loved to take pictures, so I certainly had that in common with him. He passed away in 1997, so I am thankful for the good memories with him.

Some of the things we enjoyed this past weekend: walking downtown, great food, sitting at the battery, water fountains, love seeing the old homes/porches (our house now is actually "Charleston style", so we really enjoy that), carriage tour, "fancy dinner" out at High Cotton, walking through the markets, and Sunday we visited Magnolia Plantation/Gardens on the way home.
I am happy to hear my friend, Cindy, has been recovering well after her surgery last week. She may go to rehab tomorrow. My father-in-law Dennis, is on his way home after having back surgery last week. He ended up staying on the same floor in the hospital as Cindy...what a small world! Keeping you both in my prayers!
